Essential rules for writing the best articles

Whether you are a journalist who needs to shine upon his coworkers, a blogger searching the next catchy story or simply a student looking for the proper manners of written expression, writing a good article involves two major contingents: good content and good presentation.

One thing for sure; there’s a lot of to competition when it comes to writing on the internet, simply because anyone nowadays can write something – irrelevant or not- post it on a blog or a website, and voilà! Here is an article, thus the definition of an article has become a very fuzzy line. However, the distinction between good and bad was always clear and important for your future audience.

Keep in mind this simple rule: A respectful and strong article makes people think, changes minds, grows an audience and demands respect and appreciation. A weak one falls down in history like the worst brand of the years, it is remembered only to make fun of it.
Without further do, here are my key rules for making good quality articles:
A catching-eye title

The title of your article plays the role of the house exterior decorations: whether these decorations are appetite-opening or repeal you from even looking at them, a well chosen title ignites the curiosity of the reader and makes them look for the information within the lines of your article.
So chose carefully, try a simple title that sums up your article in an intriguing way, don’t “click bait” your audience with lying titles, that will earn you nothing bur the disrespect of a growing audience.
Reduce your entry barriers
A big opening paragraph at the start of your article is a huge mistake to avoid; it constitutes a big barrier to entry, your reader has to go through a large wall of compact texts before even deciding if the article is reading worthy. At the end, most people won’t bother complete reading.
Keep your opening paragraphs short and forceful. A one to three paragraphs is an easy deal. Begin with something tiny and easy to engage the interest of the readers with, start with definitions, give some context and introduce what you are really talking about, prove to them that you are providing what they came for, that will reinforce your credibility –and your articles one.
Short meaningful paragraphs
As a reader, how many times have you asked yourself: “Why am I scrolling down into these rows and rows of dense paragraphs?” Simply you have lost interest! A lost interest is a lost opportunity to sale or promote your product.
Short paragraphs -on the other hand- are teasing and keep your reader awake for more. They are easy to make with direct meanings and objectives. You at all time want to read just one more and your eyes end down the entire page.
Take apart your article; make short meaningful units and keep your reader chasing the words from a paragraph to another one.
Visually appealing richness
What I mean by that, reading a long text full of packed lines after lines don’t make your readers attentive, even whit short paragraphs and straightforward ideas, for the same reasons you find children books are full of images with bright colors and different characters.
Enriching your article with images, explanatory schemes and colorful pictures will help maintain your audience attentive, after all it is like the safe space from crumbling white and black lines.
Don’t lose your mind with length and ideas!
Never forget this; just get to the point! Take out all unnecessary words in a sentence. Even with short paragraphs, sometimes you feel there are plenty of words and sentences that don’t fit or don’t add any meaningful taste to your text.
If a whole sentence doesn’t take your mind in the direction of the total objective, erase it wholly.
They’re made of words, but there’s no point and no meaning. It’s content for the sake of having content.
Don’t write your articles for the sake of writing content only, the simple example of that is “buying things for buying” and not to fulfill a need.
Write your content for the sake of knowledge transmission; tell your readers something they want to know about, visualize them standing in front of you asking these questions: “why? How? ” how you respond these questions lightens the path for your paragraphs.
If you want to tell a story, tell the best one!

If you are telling a story, one of the best ways to draw a reader into a story article is to revive it; bring it to the human life with human interests, capture you readers’ attention with a recounting of an event, the unfolding of a plot or the setting of a stage with an intriguing way.
Stories are a luminous way to open articles, they are also a brilliant way to explain a point or prove your idea, and thus they don’t have to be excessive or adding more waste than meaning.
Follow an organized path with your articles
Dress the objective of the article, start by showing your point in action, and then explain to me what it means and why it matters. That’s it!
This is a major rule for successful structures; present your ideas in the following order: Global visualization and detailed explanation. Highlight the need that I am looking for, then guide me understanding what I should do and why acquiring this knowledge is important for myself.
At the end -for me, making a good article depends on the writer’s will; the will that makes you searching the perfection and pursuing the quality of expression, the harmony of ideas, the clarity and meaningfulness till the end. My top rules for writing a good article.
